Terms & Conditions

Dog Walking

The Pet Company will NOT confirm any booking until a consultation has been carried out with the client, the dog and that the relevant forms, terms and conditions have been received and signed.

All dog walking payments are to be made within 7 days of receipt of invoice by  bank transfer , cash or Paypal.

Dog walking cancellations – 1 weeks’ notice is to be made by either party (client or The Pet Company) to terminate this service. In the event of illness by The Pet Company, I will give you as much notice as possible. If needed, cover will provided.

If you have a regular dog walking service, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or you will be charged in full.

The Pet Company may terminate the walk immediately if it is thought the dog is badly behaved or aggressive either towards humans, animals or property. The client is liable if the dog injures any 3rd party, property or another animal.

After walks, if the dog requires to be dried off , The Pet Company will  try their utmost to remove any surplus water , mud or dirt. Please provide towels and let The Pet Company know where they are to be kept.

The client will either ensure that access is given to The Pet Company to collect the dog from the agreed address at the agreed time or give The Pet Company a key to the place where the dog is kept.  The Pet Company will use the key to collect and return the dog and for no other purpose. The key will be kept safe, not let anyone else have it and will return it to the owner upon demand.

All dogs being walked will undergo a trial period to ensure that they are adequately trained and socialised.

The Pet company will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions (i.e., heat, excessive wind, thunderstorms) for the safety of both the dog(s) and walker.

In excessive heat (over 25 degrees) dogs will not be walked. It is incredibly dangerous for their health, also the pavements will be too hot and may burn their paws. If walks are not going ahead because of excessive heat, no charge will be applied. I am more than happy to look after your dog in a shady part of their garden, to ensure they have time to go to the toilet, and also to break the day up. A let-out charge will then be applied.

Cat / Small Pet Visits

Your booking will not be confirmed until The Pet Company has received the information form and I have confirmed the booking has been made.

The client accepts that The Pet Company is NOT liable for injury, disappearance or death of any pet that has access to the outdoors.

The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be cared for in the client’s absence (i.e., food, water, medication, collars, bedding, toys, etc). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of The Pet Company, these will be purchased and added to the final bill.

If The Pet Company is notified more than 48 hours in advance of a cancellation for a booked visit there will be no charge. Less than 48 hours a 50% cancellation charge will be made of the proposed visit.

The Pet Company will make adequate steps to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence, however The Pet Company CANNOT be held responsible for any burglaries, or any accidents caused by your pet(s).
